As she becomes America’s First Lady, it is unquestionable that Dr Jill Biden’s wardrobe will become even more of a global talking point than it is already.

While she is already set to make history as one of the most progressive First Ladies in history, her approach to style will be different too.

While she may not be as flashy as former FLOTUS, her refined, relatable and ever-elegant style will not be any less worthy of the White House.

Functional dresses are a cornerstone of Jill Biden’s wardrobe.

From her mauve bodycon dress by Christian Siriano (who has also dressed Michelle Obama) to re-wearing her forest green fringed Gabriela Hearst dress, it’s clear her style is classic but with a modern twist.

Across her eight-year stint as second lady during the Obama administration and during the presidential campaign, Jill showed off her love for bold block colours.

Jill has delivered countless magical monochrome moments too, though.

Her black and white peplum two-piece, with bowed Carolina Herrera pumps, is a perfect example.

We are expecting plenty of fabulous floral moments from the new First Lady too.

One of our favourite looks of hers to date was the light blue Dolce & Gabbana dress with a matching face mask that she wore during the presidential debates.

In 2009, the educator stunned in a bright red gown by Lebanese designer Reem Acra.

The flowing and pleated gúna, while simple, delivered a real style statement.

She is well-versed when it comes to fashion diplomacy and the secret messaging that clothes can afford.

Like her ‘vote’ mask and her Stuart Weitzman knee-high boots with the word ‘vote’ printed up them.

A far cry from former First Lady Melania Trump’s Zara jacket with that controversial slogan: ‘I really don’t care do u’

We know that a very stylish four years lie ahead!
