Victoria’s Secret saved its biggest surprise for the middle of the show. During the brand’s 2026 Fashion Show in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 18, Kylie Jenner strode onto the runway wearing the Fantasy Bra, the diamond-covered piece that hadn’t appeared on a Victoria’s Secret stage in eight years. By the end of the night it was the moment everyone was talking about.
Here’s a look at what happened, who walked, and why the Fantasy Bra’s comeback mattered so much to longtime fans.
A record-setting Fantasy Bra
According to USA Today, this year’s Fantasy Bra was created with luxury jeweler Jacob & Co. and valued at $50 million, making it the most expensive Fantasy Bra ever made. The design uses 4,410 natural diamonds with a total weight of 1,373.39 carats, plus a fringe of drop diamonds along the edge and a 75.54-carat Fancy Vivid Yellow diamond at the center.
Jenner paired it with fluffy white wings and an all-white set. Her mother, Kris Jenner, and her boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet, were spotted cheering from the front row. Afterward, Jenner shared behind-the-scenes photos from getting ready, captioning a close-up of the bra “Best day ever.”
The choice was a twist few fans predicted. In the weeks before the show, Victoria’s Secret teased the bra’s return without naming who would wear it, and commenters lobbied for veteran Angels. Instead, the brand handed its crown jewel to someone who had never walked its runway before.
Why the Fantasy Bra still matters
The Fantasy Bra has been a fixture of Victoria’s Secret lore since the 1990s. USA Today notes it was first crafted in 1996 and worn by Claudia Schiffer, and that the last one appeared in 2018, when Elsa Hosk wore the Swarovski-designed “Dream Angels Fantasy Bra.” Over the years it was worn by stars such as Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Adriana Lima, Miranda Kerr and Gisele Bündchen, whose 2000 “Heavenly Star Bra” held the price record at $15 million until Sunday.
Bringing the tradition back signals that the revived show, which returned in 2024 after a long hiatus, is leaning hard into the spectacle that made it famous.
Angels old and new
Jenner wasn’t the only headline. Page Six’s live coverage captured a parade of familiar faces:
- Gisele Bündchen made a surprise cameo to introduce the show.
- Bella Hadid opened the runway in floral wings, her sixth time walking the show.
- Gigi Hadid, the first supermodel the brand confirmed for this year’s Los Angeles event, also walked.
- Adriana Lima walked her 21st show, and Alessandra Ambrosio her 20th.
- Rosie Huntington-Whiteley returned to the runway for the first time in 16 years.
- Barbara Palvin walked just six weeks after giving birth to a baby girl.
Harper’s Bazaar also noted the runway debut of Natalia Bryant, daughter of the late Kobe Bryant, alongside regulars such as Alex Consani.
An all-star musical lineup
According to Harper’s Bazaar, the show took place at Sony Pictures Studios, the first time it had been staged in Los Angeles in 19 years. The music came from four acts:
- Megan Moroney opened with “6 Months Later” and “Wish I Didn’t.”
- Tate McRae debuted choreography for her new single “Housewife” before moving into “Dear God” and “Sports Car.”
- Katseye performed “Pinky Up” and “Animal” from their album Wild.
- Megan Thee Stallion performed “Her” and “Body” in full Tina Snow styling. Jenner’s surprise walk came during her set.
The takeaway
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has spent the past two years trying to work out what it should be in a new era. On Sunday, the answer looked a lot like its old formula: big wings, big names and one very big diamond bra. Pairing a celebrity runway debut with a record-setting Fantasy Bra kept the show at the center of the weekend’s conversation, and it’s likely the brand will try to top it next year.
