Football fans are left in laughter after spotting Kylian Mbappe‘s brother giving Lionel Messi ‘evils’ during the guard of honor, as he returned to PSG training.

The Argentina star finally touched down in France after two weeks off following the penalty shootout final victory in Qatar

As he arrived at training on Wednesday morning a guard of honour was set up for him before the session before he was handed a small trophy by sporting director Luis Campos, while he was applauded onto the training pitch.

His team-mates looked delighted to see him return, well almost all of them, as Mbappe’s brother, 16-year-old Ethan Mbappe, was caught giving the forward a ‘death stare’ as they welcomed him back.

His elder brother fell short in the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar to Messi – despite scoring a hat-trick and forcing the match into a penalty shoot-out.

Fans have been left in laughter after seeing the face the youngster pulled as Messi walked back onto the training pitch.

One said: ‘Mbappe’s brother is planning his revenge.’

A second posted: ‘Mbappe’s younger brother staring Messi in anger.’

A third tweeted: ‘Messi better sleep with one eye open.’

A fourth chimed in, by saying: ‘The way Ethan Mbappe is giving death stares!’

Another added: ‘Mbappe’s brother is ready for revenge.’

Mbappe, who notched a hat-trick in the final but still fell short to his team-mate, was not in attendance for the guard of honor.

Neither was Achraf Hakimi, as they both enjoy a break in New York, having been rushed back following the World Cup.

The Parisian giants made their return to domestic action against Strasbourg on December 28 – following the World Cup break – without the Argentina captain.

His team-mates Neymar and Mbappe – who starred in the World Cup final just 10 days prior – started the fixture however Messi remained in Argentina.

It will now be down to boss Christophe Galtier to integrate him back into the side, with the Ligue 1 fixture against Angers on January 11 seen as the earliest he is expected to feature.
