GCHQ has launched a series of brainteasers on their Instagram page for the public to figure out which celebrities will be involved in the Poppy Appeal launch for Armistice Day.
The appeal, titled Operation Poppy and run by the Royal British Legion, tasks the public to find out the celebrities before they are revealed tomorrow.
It promises to be a nail-biting series of clues.
In a Youtube video released on October 22, GCHQ released the following below statement to the public.
“Do you have what it takes to complete Operation Poppy? In its centenary year, the intelligence security and cyber agency GCHQ is supporting The Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal. And so a number of celebrity operatives are going undercover as poppy collectors for a day. Their mission is to partner with a local collector and find out more about their efforts supporting the Armed Forces community.
“Your mission is to identify these celebrities before they’re revealed by solving a series of GCHQ brainteasers.
“So see if you can break the codes and stay one step ahead.”
This ‘mission’ is in aid of celebrating GCHQ’s centenary year and ‘to highlight the unseen contributions of our Armed Forces’.
The brainteasers to the public are being released on the government organisation’s Instagram page, via their Instagram Moments that can be accessed by clicking their thumbnail icon on the top left corner.
