Sevilla have reportedly placed a £26million price tag on goalkeeper Yassine Bounou following his heroic performances at the World Cup for semi-finalists Morocco.

Last season, the Spanish side tied down ‘Bono’ on a long-term deal until 2025 in order to ward off interest from Manchester United.

However, following a stellar World Cup campaign for the Atlas Lions – in which Bono had only conceded once until the semi-final defeat to France – Sevilla will be debating whether to cash in and make a profit.

Bono has been one of the stars of the World Cup and has attracted interest from other clubs

Sevilla are willing to let the 31-year-old go, but will only begin talks at a minimum price of £26m (30m), according to Estadio Deportivo.

While Man United were unsuccessful in their attempts to pin down Bono, TZ report that Bayern Munich are looking to make a move for the goalkeeper after Manuel Neuer broke his leg while skiing.

However, it would be a costly fee for the Germans to pay, considering Neuer is likely to return to being first choice on return from injury.

There is also reportedly interest from Unai Emery’s Aston Villa. The former Villarreal manager is not believed to be on the greatest of terms with Villa’s Emiliano Martinez following their time at Arsenal together.

Sevilla do have the option to let Bono go with Marko Dmitrovic currently the back-up option for Jorge Sampaoli’s side.

Bono was the star of the show in the last-16, saving three penalties to help knock Spain out

Sampaoli returned to the Spanish club following the dismissal of Julen Lopetegui in October after a poor run of games.

And having Dmitrovic as a second choice keeper is by no means the worst option for him with the shot-stopper up their with one of the best in La Liga for Eibar before his move.

Bono kept clean sheet in three of his five World Cup games, namely against Croatia, Spain and Portugal.

In fact, he started all but one of Morocco’s games – only missing the clash against Belgium with illness.

He was lauded for his heroics in Morocco’s last-16 clash with Spain after he saved spot-kicks from Carlos Soler and Sergio Busquets to send the giant-killers through on penalties.
