One member of the U.S. Senate who caucuses with Democrats has a plan to jam up Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell over increased direct aid — and it is also designed to help oust the GOP leader.

On Monday, Trump was abandoned by Republicans on two major votes: increasing direct financial aid from $600 to $2000 and overriding Trump’s veto of the National Defense Authorization Act.

On CNN Monday, Ret. Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman, who gained national attention as a star witness against outgoing President Donald Trump in the impeachment trial, warned that the new administration will need to do a great deal to repair the hollowing out and “corruption” of federal agencies.

“There will be an enormous amount of rebuilding that President Biden and his cabinet will have to undertake in order to just simply undo the damage, let alone move this country forward and advance U.S. interests,” said Vindman, who retired after allegedly facing retaliation that denied him a military promotion.

Donald Trump continues to humiliate his own vice president, according to a new analysis published by CNN.

“The four-year humiliation of Vice President Mike Pence is reaching a crescendo,” wrote Michael D’Antonio, the author of the book Never Enough: Donald Trump and the Pursuit of Success. D’Antonio is also the co-author, with Peter Eisner, of the book High Crimes: The Corruption, Impunity, and Impeachment of Donald Trump.
