Twisters and The Idea of You are the most nominated films for the 2025 Music Supervisors Guild Awards, which were announced on Friday.
Twisters’ Rachel Levy is nominated for Best Music Direction for a Big-Budget Film, while Frankie Pine is nominated for Best Music Direction for a Mid-Budget Film for the romantic comedy The Idea of You. In the race for Best Song, action thriller Twisters is nominated for “Out of Oklahoma,” while The Idea of You is up for Best Song for its title song, “The Idea of You.” .
Similar Stories
Music supervisors Steve Schnur, Raphaella Lima, Codie Childs, Mike Ladman and Mara Tacham received the most individual nominations, with three each, and Netflix received 13 overall nominations, the most of any major studio.
Other film contenders in the music supervision and songwriting races included Wicked, Deadpool and Wolverine, Emilia Perez and Beastly. Among TV shows, Baby Reindeer, Fallout, Royal Palms and The English Teacher were among the top.
It was previously announced that songwriter Steven Schwartz (Wicked) will receive the Icon Award and music director Bonnie Greenberg (My Best Friend’s Wedding) will receive the Legacy Award.
The 15th annual Music Directors Association Awards ceremony will be held on February 23 at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles. .Performances and guests will be announced at a later date.
