Virat Kohli made it to 31 on Tuesday and his undying hunger to succeed does not seem like stopping anytime soon.

As #TeamIndia Captain @imVkohli turns 31, we take a look back at his maiden ODI hundred and where it all started for the Run Machine. #HappyBirthdayVirat 🎂💐💐

Be it Test, ODI or T20’s, Kohli is India’s Milestone Man in all formats.

In a career spanning more than a decade, the Indian captain has been performing with extraordinary consistency and rewriting records at will.

Already hailed as one of the greatest batsmen ever, the right-handed batsman rightfully commands a huge fan following. As expected, birthday wishes to the skipper flooded social media sites.

The hashtag #KingKohli and #HappyBirthdayViratKohli was one of the top trending topics in India.

From his fans to ex-cricketers and commentators, everyone seems to be queuing up to wish the King on his birthday.

While India’s milestone man does have several years left in his career this is a good opportunity to take stock of what the India captain has achieved so far-

In the ICC ODI rankings, Virat Kohli is the only Indian batsman who has managed to go past the mark of 890 points. Sachin Tendulkar held the previous record of 887 in 1998.

Kohli is also the second India batsman after Sunil Gavaskar to breach the 900-point mark in the ICC Player Rankings for Test Batsmen.

In October last year, the Indian captain became the fastest batsman to score 10,000 ODI runs.
